Police Chief asks for funding for school resource office radios
CASS COUNTY – Atlantic Police Chief Devin Hogue made a funding request to the Cass County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday for approximately $11,430 in America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to help pay for radios for a school resource officer,which is an officer that works part time or full time in a school setting. The board did not take any action on the request, and members said they would like to look at the list of requests for ARPA funding before making a decision.

EMT courses to be offered in Osceola
Southwestern Community College (SWCC) will be offering an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course in partnership with Clarke County Hospital, beginning on Tuesday, August 6.
