ILLINOIS PRINCIPALS ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT FROM RICHLAND COUNTY, SPENT TIME IN THE EDWARDS COUNTY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Illinois Principals Association (IPA) has announced that Mrs. Cris Edwards, the principal of Richland County Elementary School in Olney, will assume the role of President of the IPA for the 2024-2025 school term. Edwards, a member of the Illinois Principals Association since 2007, has held various leadership positions within the organization. She recently served as the State Director for the Wabash Valley region, a member of the IPA Board of Directors, and was honored as the Illinois Elementary Principal of the Year in 2023. Her contributions to education have been recognized through accolades such as the Wabash Valley “Reaching Out & Building Bridges” award in 2021 and the Wabash Valley Herman Graves award in 2019.
