HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A new tree house will open in Wesselman Woods on Friday, but one group had the chance to get a sneak peak.

The Arwood Family Tree house is twelve feet high, allowing for guests to climb high enough to get a view of the mid canopy of the forest.. The tree house features ramps, rock walls, rope bridges and climbing ropes. It overlooks Odonata Pond.

The project was funded through the donations of supporters of the nature preserve and built by Tomahawk Services. It cost $260,000.

The tree house will open to the public at 9 a.m. on Friday.
