HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police is investigating a semi crash that happened in Union County Thursday morning.

KSP received a call from Union County Dispatch about the wreck at around 7:20 a.m. on KY 141 south near Pride, Kentucky.

Preliminary investigation showed that the driver, Matthew Jones, of Sturgis, was traveling northbound where he ran off the side of the road, causing him to lose control. This sent him crossing both lanes and crashed.

Jones was airlifted to Deaconess Midtown for his injuries. KSP says he is in stable condition but the extent of injuries are unknown at this time.

The roadway was shut down for two hours as troopers investigated the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
