    Henderson set to sell naming rights to sports facility for $500,000

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The city of Henderson is scheduled to vote on whether to give Deaconess the naming rights to a new sports complex in exchange for $500,000.

    After entering into contract negotiations with Deaconess Henderson Hospital, the city of Henderson has drafted a proposal that will be voted on Tuesday. Deaconess is seeking to name the facility the Deaconess Henderson Sports Park.

    Under the proposed agreement, the initial term of the naming rights would last for five years. In exchange for the naming rights, Deaconess would pay the city of Henderson $100,000 for each of the five years totaling $500,000 over five years.

    This agreement may also be extended by Deaconess for three additional years at a total cost of $165,505.

    The city of Henderson will vote on the proposal on Tuesday.
