Carmi Chamber of Commerce to host its annual Golf Scramble

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Carmi Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Golf Scramble on August 17 at the Carmi Country Club. Tee times are still available for the 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun starts.

Officials say the “best-ball” tournament format features four-person teams at $250 per team. The fee covers green fees, cart fees and lunch. Plus, each player will receive a “swag bag” full of items from Chamber businesses.

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce says prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third place teams, along with men’s and women’s longest drive and longest putt and closest to the pin. Any golfer fortunate enough to hit a Hole-in-One on the designated hole that day will win a $10,000 cash prize.

Officials say additionally, raffle tickets are being sold to win a TaylorMade Driver and Iron Set. They’re $10 each or 6 for $50. The winning ticket will be drawn at 4 p.m. on August 17.

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce says people can register a team by emailing the Chamber office at chamber@cityofcarmi.com or by signing up at the Carmi Country Club clubhouse.
