HENDERSON, La. ( KLFY ) — If you live in St. Martin Parish and are having a hard time feeding your family due to the recent storms, help is on the way.

The Henderson Police Department announced on its Facebook page that there will be a food distribution taking place on Thursday, June 6, at the Henry Guidry Memorial Park in Henderson.

“We know many of you lost food in your fridges and freezers due to the extended power outages and are trying to help in any way possible to as many as possible,” the post reads.

Second Harvest will be providing an assortment of food, and will serve up to three families per vehicle.

“We realize that many seniors, home bound, and neighbors do not have transportation,” the post reads. “Please support them in your pickups.”

Distribution is scheduled to begin between 10:30-11 a.m. at the end of Amy Street, officials said.
