Whoops! JD Vance Says He Wants Trump to Be Vice President: ‘Fire Kamala Harris and Replace Her with Donald Trump’

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance urged Americans to “fire” Vice President Kamala Harris “and replace her with Donald Trump.”

Harris became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden dropped his reelection bid in the wake of an abysmal debate performance against Trump. However, she remains the veep.

Speaking at a rally on Tuesday in Henderson, Nevada, the senator from Ohio slammed Harris over her positions on trade.

“She voted – even after it was obvious it was a mistake – she voted to preserve NAFTA, the very trade deal that sent American jobs to Mexico and turned the American dream into nightmares,” Vance told the crowd. “And now she wants a promotion. I say we oughta fire Kamala Harris and replace her with Donald Trump.”

Vance’s introduction to the American public has been less than smooth since Trump chose him as the VP nominee earlier this month. Democrats have had a field day with comments the senator made about “childless cat ladies” running their party. He said that childless individuals “don’t really have a direct stake in” the country and advocated parents receive additional votes for each child they have.

The vice presidential nominee has also had to answer questions about his past opposition to Trump, particularly when Vance referred to him as an “idiot” and “America’s Hitler.”

At a recent rally, Vance claimed he risked being called “racist” because he drank a Diet Mountain Dew. The crack didn’t land, as members of the audience didn’t seem what to make of it.
