Hendersonville Police say an arrest has been made in the death of 17-year-old Trinity Bostic.

On Saturday morning, police say a 17-year-old male from Westmoreland, Tennessee was arrested. The suspect is currently in the Sumner County Detention Center and faces first-degree murder charges. The identity of the teen has not been released.

On July 3, Hendersonville Police were directed to human remains found in a small wood line near S.R. 386 at New Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville.

Hendersonville Police say the remains were identified on Friday as Bostic.

Trinity was first reported missing on June 29, 2024, in Macon County. Her remains were found by a Tennessee Department of Transportation subcontract worker while he was picking up trash along the roadway.

Police say they suspect foul play is involved, and ask that anyone with information call them at (615)-822-1111 or the Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at (625)-594-4113.

“Here’s a great story that proves everyone has something to give, regardless of age OR personal challenges. Our Austin Pollack introduces us to Ms Sylvia Mooney. At age 80, she’s not sitting still. Instead, she using her skills to craft compassion for others… one stitch at a time. Her crochet creations go to non-profits to help our homeless neighbors. You’ll be surprised to learn she does it all, while facing a serious health issue. Bravo Sylvia!”
