    Suspect charged in death of teen whose remains were found in Hendersonville

    HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Hendersonville Police Department has arrested a 17-year-old for his connection to the death of a missing girl whose remains were found in Hendersonville earlier this week.

    Police said a subcontract worker with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) was picking up trash along the roadway on Wednesday, July 3 when they discovered the remains in a small wood line near State Route 386 (Vietnam Veterans Boulevard) by New Shackle Island Road.

    The remains were identified as 17-year-old Trinity Bostic on Friday, July 5. Authorities said she was reported missing out of Macon County on Saturday, June 29.

    A week after her disappearance, officials announced they made an arrest in the case. On Saturday, July 6, the Hendersonville Police Department arrested a 17-year-old from Westmoreland for the murder of Trinity Bostic.

    Police said the 17-year-old — whose identity has not been released — is being held in the Sumner County Jail on first-degree murder charges.
