Man Arrested for Alleged Molestation and Threats Against Minor and Family

Hendry County, FL - A Hendry County man has been arrested on charges of molesting a minor and threatening her family.

On Thursday, July 11th, Hendry County Sheriff's Office road patrol units responded to a disturbance in the Montura Ranch Estates area.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered 48-year-old William Diaz and a juvenile female.

The girl reported to deputies that she had been sexually assaulted by Diaz.

The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division took over the investigation.

The juvenile victim was transported for medical treatment.

A search warrant was executed on the property and residence, during which it was revealed that Diaz had allegedly made threats against the girl and other family members.

Following the search, Diaz was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including lewd or lascivious battery on a victim between 12 and 16.

Diaz is currently held without bond at the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
