Henricus Historical Park in Chesterfield County will give visitors a glimpse of what life was like for members of the 124th New York Infantry in the summer of 1864, during a living history event Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

That summer, Union Army regiments under Gen. Benjamin Butler occupied the Dutch Gap Canal and Bermuda Hundred in present-day Chesterfield County. In the weeks following, the battle lines of both Union and Confederate troops found

battle with be on display, along with several musket firings throughout the day.

Tickets are $9 for children ages 5-12 and $13 for adults. For details, click here.
