As part of its annual hunger relief campaign, AAA is inviting its members and customers to participate in its annual “Stepping Up for Hunger” campaign by making a monetary or canned food donation.

The program is designed to help those in the community who are impacted by food insecurity.

“As an organization, we are committed to making a positive impact in our communities,” Amber Zionkowski, manager of corporate social responsibility for AAA Club Alliance, said in a statement. “Addressing food insecurity is one way to provide help where it is needed most.”

Canned food donations can be dropped off at the AAA location at 7009 West Broad Street, as well as other locations in Bon Air, Midlothian and Fredericksburg, until Sunday, Sept. 8. Monetary donations may be made in person at any AAA location.

AAA will donate 200,000 meals to local food bans nationally through Feeding America after its employees have walked, jogged or run 56 million steps this month. In addition to “walking the walk,” AAA employees are volunteering their time at local foodbanks, according to the company.
