    Henrico Library’s Summer Reading Challenge results in nearly 70,000 books read

    Henrico Library’s Summer Reading Challenge resulted in children, teens and adults who participated reading a total of nearly 70,000 books, with 345,325 checked out and 2,686 reviews submitted.

    To celebrate the end of the challenge, the library held a grand prize giveaway and awarded an Apple iPad (to Genesis T.), a Canon EOS Rebel T100 Digital SLR Camera (to Sebastian V.), and a Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition with Super Smash Bros Ultimate (to Roman L.).

    In addition to the grand prizes, nine additional winners (one representing each of the county’s library locations) received an outdoor adventure set, consisting of a camp chair, shade tent, and a state park pass. Another nine received a Razor A3 kick scooter, and nine others receives a CCS skateboard with tools.

    Children who completed the program will receive a sunglasses or compass keychain, teens will get a collapsible water bottle, and adults will receive a collectible coffee mug.
