Henrico Recreation and Parks changing fitness class registration process

The Henrico County Recreation and Parks department is changing the way it registers people for fitness classes. Starting this fall, instead of taking reservations for classes, the county is introducing a group exercise access pass that will allow access on a first-come, first-served basis.

The new pass will be used to scan in for people attending fitness and wellness classes at the Belmont, Deep Run, Dorey and Eastern Henrico Recreation Centers. People who want to reserve a spot will have to fill out an application in person at one of the four recreation centers or complete it online by clicking here and then return it to a facility in person, to have their photos taken and linked to their accounts.

Group Exercise Access Passes, which are required to be renewed annually in order to remain active, operate on a first-come, first-served basis based upon the maximum number of participants unique to the nature of the program and the space being utilized. View all classes accessible with the pass by clicking here.

Fitness classes will start at Dorey and EHRC on Sept. 3, with classes at Belmont and Deep Run starting on Sept. 9.

Some programs may be added to the schedule based upon demand and instructor availability.
