    Henrico supervisors to hold retreat Sept. 4-5 to discuss variety of topics

    The Henrico County Board of Supervisors will hold a two-day retreat Sept. 4-5 to discuss a number of topics and potential initiatives. The work sessions will take place at the Deep Run Recreation Center, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

    The event will be available through a livestream on WebEx on Wednesday and Thursday, and members of the public also may attend in person.

    On Wednesday, the board intends to hear an economic outlook beginning at 8:30 a.m.; details about office space repurposing beginning at 9:45 a.m..; information about the county’s affordable housing trust fund beginning at 10:45 a.m.; details about solid waste management beginning at 1 p.m.; details about environmental banks beginning at 2:15 p.m.; and information about county first impressions beginning at 3:30 p.m.

    On Thursday, the agenda calls for discussion about the public school system beginning at 8:30 a.m.; zoning ordinance amendments beginning at 10:15 a.m.; boards and commissions beginning at 12:45 p.m.; recover homes regulations beginning at 2 p.m., and a recap beginning at 3:45 p.m.

    All schedules are tentative.
