KSB USA/North America, a supplier of pumps and industrial valves, is planning to nearly double its Eastern Henrico County facility and add more than 30 employees as part of a $25-million investment, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Sept. 5.

The project will include the addition of a loading dock office space, an update to the shipping and receiving area, and upgrades to common areas for employees. The company is located on Saraellen Road, just north of Charles City Road and west of Laburnum Avenue.

“KSB’s expansion of its Henrico County facility is just the latest example of the resurgence of manufacturing in Virginia,” said Youngkin. “The Greater Richmond region offers the skilled workforce to support KSB’s continued growth, and we thank them for their investment in Virginia.”

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership will provide support for KSB with the implementation of the expansion project. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Henrico County to secure the project for Virginia and will support KSB’s job creation through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. The loan agreement also includes a commitment from KSB to create 32 new jobs as part of the expansion project.

“KSB’s decision to expand its Henrico County facility highlights the competitive advantage that Virginia offers international companies seeking growth in U.S. markets,” said Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Caren Merrick. “KSB is a prime example of what foreign companies can accomplish in Virginia thanks to our strategic location, proximity to The Port of Virginia, and talented workforce.”

KSB is a subsidiary of Germany-based KSB Group and has operated in Henrico County since 1988. It serves a variety of industries, including energy, chemicals and petrochemicals, building services, oil and gas, amusement parks, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and water and wastewater through a network of representatives and distributors.
