Obituary – Carolyn Davis Showalter

Carolyn Davis Showalter, age 90, of Henrico Virginia, passed away on Monday August 12, 2024 with her daughter by her side, she is predeceased by her husband, Roy Lee Showalter; sister, Margaret Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie S. Elliott (Mark); grandson, Andrew; Niece, Vicky Sharpley (Tom); nephew, George Davis; and may other extended family members and friends. She was a graduate of Granby High School in Norfolk Virginia and Stratford College of Danville Virginia. She retired from the Richmond Technical Center after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the “DAR” & the “DAC”. Carolyn’s greatest joy was being with her grandson, family, and friends, and also working in the yard.

A visitation will take place on Saturday August 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Parham chapel of Woody Funeral Home 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229. A memorial Service will be at a later date at Christ United Methodist Church, 6818 W Grace St, Richmond, VA 23226.
