The Henrico County Division of Fire recently welcomed the newest members of its ranks during a graduation ceremony at J.R. Tucker High School for its Recruit Academy 81, Recruit Academy 82, and Paramedic Academy 5.

Twelve members of Recruit Academy 81 completed 24 weeks of training, while 11 members of Recruit Academy 82 — each of whom had prior fire service experience — completed 12 weeks of training. Paramedic Academy 5 was nine months and included nine Henrico Fire members.

“Choosing the fire service is noble and selfless,” said Fire Chief Jackson Baynard. “I extend heartfelt gratitude to the new firefighters and to the members who elevated their skills from Basic Life Support to Advanced Life Support. You and your families have a lot to be proud of, and the community thanks you.”

Recruit Academy 81 included Grant Alexander, Zachary Boetticher, Matthew Campbell, William Edwards, Jacob Henretty, Lincoln Kickbush, Joseph Muoio, Victoria Nojaim, Gabriel Satterwhite, Lauren Schwartz, Myles Sheffield and Noah Shope.

Recruit Academy 82 included Justin Cochran, David Dahl, Noah Dunbar, Thomas Durbin, Ross Echols, Ganon Hingst, Seth Knapp, Collin Landrum, Michael Nocera, Connor Saul and Jacob Sharp.

Paramedic Academy 5 included Tyrell Austin, Jeffrey Cline, Marshall Ellick, Adam Garner, Kendall Jackson, Justin Lacy, Jacob Perry, Jovon Sayles and LaMark Williams.
