Three Henry County Drivers Win Thursday Thunder Races
HAMPTON — It was a banner night for Henry County drivers in the next-to-last round of the 2024 Thursday Thunder season as three locals won their races. Local winners on July 11 included Ola’s Bryce Sanders in the Young Lions Division, Stockbridge Jensen Jorgensen in Pro and Bill Plemmons Jr. in Masters.
Georgia officers honored for bravery 1 year after mass shooting in Henry County
HAMPTON, Ga. - The city of Hampton honored several metro Atlanta police officers for their bravery while dealing with a mass shooting in a local subdivision in 2023. Henry County Lt. Daniel Podsiadly, and Clayton County officers Walter Pounds and Michael Ruppert were all wounded while trying to take 40-year-old Andre Longmore into custody.
