Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility makes donations to regional hospice and animal shelter
MOUNT PLEASANT — Staff at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility (MPCF) presented two big checks to two worthy causes on Monday. During a presentation at the prison, a check for $5,000 was presented to All God’s Creatures and a check for $10,000 was presented to Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.

MT. PLEASANT — The Bill Riley Talent Show will return to the Henry County Fair with a variety of talented acts beginning at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 18 in the Wright Pavilion. According to the rules of the Bill Riley Talent Show, the audience will watch three-minute performances from each amateur performer in two age categories.

Henry County, IA- The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has announced that an Illinois woman was charged with OWI following a single-vehicle accident. According to a news release, at about 5:33 AM Sunday, July 7th, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single-vehicle accident in Geode State Park in the 3300 grid of Racine Avenue.
