Developer plans new wind farm in Henry County; board hears storm damage update
CAMBRIDGE — Developers are working on a new 300-megawatt wind farm which will be located south of Geneseo, north of Cambridge and east of Orion. Emily Neuharth of APEX Clean Energy introduced herself to the Henry County Board Thursday saying her company was in the early to mid-stages of developing a wind farm and planned to be operational in 2028. The wind farm will involve 70 to 75 turbines although a project layout won't be known until 2025. To date, she said more than 60 landowners have agreed to have turbines on their property.
Bridge patching on I-80 in Rock Island, Henry Counties starts July 22

Construction on I-74 in Henry County starts on Monday
HENRY COUNTY, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin construction work on Interstate 74 in Henry County on Monday, July 15, weather permitting. The work zone runs from the I-74/80/280 interchange to Illinois 81, and workers will be patching the work. During construction, one lane will be closed in each direction. The work is expected to be completed by the end of July.
