Nashville Film Festival 2024 Titles Include Linda Perry: Let It Die Here and Bob Trevino Likes It
The Nashville Film Festival has announced the first six feature films from its 2024 lineup, including Linda Perry: Let It Die Here and Bob Trevino Likes It. The week-long festival celebrating film, music and culture is in its 55th year. Taking place from September 19–25 at venues throughout Nashville, Tennessee, the six titles offer a preview of what the rest of the program will look like when its announced later in August. The full lineup will consist of over 150 films.

Corina Garcia pushes mother during argument
28-year-old Corina Garcia was involved in a domestic altercation with her mother, Jessica Reeves, at their Power Street residence on June 22nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Reeves, who stated that while she and Garcia were arguing, Garcia pushed her to the ground. Reeves had abrasions on her arm caused by the fall that officers observed was consistent with her statement of being pushed. Garcia was not at the residence when officers arrived, and officers were unable to contact her, so a warrant was issued. Garcia was later found and taken into custody for domestic assault on July 2nd.
Styx to bring ‘Come Sail Away,’ ‘Renegade,’ ‘Mr. Roboto’ to F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Progressive rock legend and Top 40 hitmaker Styx is coming to the F&M Bank Arena this fall. Styx, whose many hits include “Come Sail Away,” “Too Much Time On My Hands” and “Renegade,” will perform Tuesday, Sept. 17, with special guest Jet Black Roses.
Nashville Detective Wounded, Murder Suspect Shot as Arrest Attempt Erupts into Gunfire in Madison

A confrontation in a Madison apartment complex parking lot escalated to gunfire yesterday as a Nashville detective was wounded while serving a first-degree murder indictment, according to a report by the Nashville Police Department. Detective Carlos Diaz, a recent transfer from the New York Police Department, sustained a non-life-threatening injury to his leg when homicide suspect Miqueal Williams resisted arrest and opened fire. Williams, wanted for the murder of Samuel Edwards Jr. in March, was also shot in the hip during the altercation and both he and Diaz are being treated at Skyline Medical Center.
Amy Matthews slaps husband after he catches her cheating
31-year-old Amy Matthews was involved in a domestic altercation with her husband, Alex Matthews, at her Cindy Jo Court residence on June 29th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Alex, who claimed an argument occurred because he found out Amy was talking to another man. Alex informed officers that, after this, they both began arguing before it turned physical when Amy attempted to grab Alex’s phone. Amy proceeded to slap Alex multiple times on the leg while yelling, “he hit me.” Alex provided officers with footage of the incident that he recorded. Amy Matthews was then deemed the primary aggressor, and she was then taken into custody for domestic assault on July 3rd.
