Tift Regional registered nurse honored with DAISY Award
TIFTON – A Tift Regional Medical Center registered nurse was recently honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Amie Fields, a registered nurse at Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC), was recently honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.

Pattern change to bring increased rain chances
Wednesday evening update: Strong to severe thunderstorms are pushing through the CSRA producing damaging winds, small hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. A peak wind gust of 68 mph was observed at Augusta Bush Field at 5:15 p.m. Storms knocked down trees in Lincoln county earlier this afternoon. Once we get past sunset, things should quiet down since we will be losing that daytime heating.
