    Stoughton Icebergs defeated by University School of Milwaukee

    Rowan Williams scored twice as the University School of Milwaukee earned a 5-0 win over the Stoughton Icebergs on Friday, Feb. 9.

    Williams scored in the first period, assisted by Lucy Duback, at the 7:17 mark. At the 12:51 mark of the first period, Reese Caufield scored off assists from Zoe Adelman and Justine Cieslak.

    Williams found the back of the net in the third period, at the 4:30 mark, assisted by Caufield and Hattie Amato. At the 6:58 mark, Ena Hines scored off assists from Caroline Olson and Cieslak.

    Tatum Cook scored the fifth goal for the University School of Milwaukee, assisted by Hines and Hattie Amato, at the 7:37 mark of the third period.

    In net, Stoughton freshman goalie Anika Mueller recorded 47 saves for a 90% save rate.

    Stoughton finishes the regular season with a record of 3-18-1. The Icebergs took sixth in the Badger Conference with a record of 3-10.

    Stoughton faces Beaver Dam (9-10-1) in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Beaver Dam Family Center Ice Arena.

    Beaver Dam scored once in the first period and scored again in the third period in a 2-0 win over the Stoughton Icebergs on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at McFarland Community Ice Arena.

    Emerson Damon scored in the first period for the Golden Beavers, assisted by Lilian Mansueto, at the 7:32 mark. At the 1:21 mark in the third period, Meredith Modine found the back of the net, assisted by Della Baker and Ali Stanul.

    In net for Stoughton, freshman goaltender Anika Mueller of Stoughton High School recorded 46 saves for a 96% save rate.
