    5-inning, 15 K perfect game highlights the top prep performers in Manitowoc and Sheboygan

    There was plenty of action to look back on from the past week.

    Here are the top prep performers from the week of May 6-11 in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.

    There won’t be a set number of players chosen in each sport in a given week, just including performances which stood out and deserve recognition.

    This means there might be more or less than the week previous.

    Another criteria is to limit selections to one player per team, per sport.

    Boys track and field

    Romann Alexander, Sheboygan Falls: Alexander finished first in the 400-meter dash at Wednesday’s Eastern Wisconsin Conference quadrangular with a time of 55.31 seconds.

    Vince Nienhuis, Sheboygan North: Nienhuis won both the 110 hurdles (15.94) and 300 hurdles (41.92) on Friday at the West Bend East invite.

    Girls track and field

    Olivia Knowles, Sheboygan South: Knowles swept both hurdle events at Friday’s Grafton Black Hawk invite, winning the 100 hurdles (17.54) and 300 hurdles (48.64).

    Taylor Anderson, Sheboygan Falls: Anderson won the high jump on Wednesday at the EWC quadrangular with a distance of 4 feet and 10 inches.

    Baseball

    Noah Wech, Manitowoc Lincoln: Wech went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in Manitowoc Lincoln’s 11-10 win over Green Bay Preble on Monday.

    Caden Stanzel, Manitowoc Lutheran: Stanzel was 2-for-3 with three RBIs as Manitowoc Lutheran defeated Roncalli 10-0.

    Logan Marquardt, Mishicot: Marquardt’s four RBIs helped lift Mishicot to an 11-1 win over Sheboygan Lutheran on Saturday. He went 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored as well.

    Jude Ackeret, Cedar Grove-Belgium: Ackeret earned the win on Monday in a 10-0 victory over Sheboygan Lutheran in six innings. He struck out 20 batters and allowed just one hit in six innings while walking none.

    Jackson Neilitz, Plymouth: Neilitz had three extra base hits on Thursday in a 18-0 rout of Winneconne in five innings. He went 3-for-3 with a double and two triples while scoring three runs and compiling four RBIs.

    Logan Michaels, Random Lake: Random Lake demolished Sevastopol 23-0 in five innings on Friday with Michaels driving in four runs while doing 3-for-5 with three runs scored.

    Jake Hillmer, Roncalli: Hillmer tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout on Thursday to help Roncalli top Valders 1-0. He scattered three hits over seven innings and walked three while fanning four batters.

    Otis Berge, Valders: Berge was effective on the mound and at the plate for Valders in a 10-0 win on Friday in five innings over Hilbert. He was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and runs scored each, including a double. Berge earned the win, tossing four shutout innings and allowing two hits while striking out four.

    Softball

    Kiran Sanford, Mishicot: Sanford threw a five-inning perfect game on Monday in a 10-0 win over Reedsville. To make it extra special, all 15 outs came via the strikeout as a single ball wasn’t put in play.

    Ava Conrad, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah: Conrad launched a two-run home run and finished with four RBIs on Monday in a 15-5 win over Hilbert. She was 4-for-4 with a pair of runs scored as well.

    Taylor Halfmann, Kiel: Halfmann was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs on Thursday to spark Kiel to a 14-4 win in six innings over Roncalli.

    Reagan Stalter, Two Rivers: Stalter struck out 12 batters in seven innings on Saturday to help Two Rivers knock off Hilbert 3-1. She scattered four hits and walked just one in those seven innings for the complete-game win.

    Jayla Harter, Random Lake: Harter went 3-for-3 with a double and a home run while scoring twice and driving in seven RBIs as part of a 21-0 win over Howards Grove in three innings on Monday.

    Mara Babak, Sheboygan North: Babak had a double and a three-run home run as part of a 2-for-3 afternoon to help Sheboygan North eek out a 9-8 win over Green Bay Southwest on Monday.

    Megan Hochkammer, Valders: Hochkammer was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs on Saturday to aide Valders 11-2 victory against Reedsville. Both her hits were of the extra base variety, recording a double and a two-run home run.

    Girls soccer

    Ella Presuitti, Sheboygan North: Presuitti scored a hat trick with three goals on Tuesday as Sheboygan North defeated Manitowoc Lincoln 5-2.

    Lily Brusse, Kohler: Brusse’s two goals helped Kohler blank Campbellsport on Thursday 3-0.

    Maria Zylstra, Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian: Zylstra found the back of the net three times for a hat trick on Thursday in a dominating 10-0 romp of Green Bay West.

    Ariana Jelenc, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah: Jelenc tallied a hat trick in Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah’s 5-1 win victory against North Fond du Lac/Oakfield on Thursday.

    Cora Erickson, Cedar Grove-Belgium: Erickson had a hand in eight of Cedar Grove-Belgium’s 13 goals as the Rockets rolled past Wayland Academy 13-0 on Friday. Erickson scored a hat trick while assisting another five goals.

    Kalli Knowles, Plymouth: Plymouth steamrolled St. Mary’s Springs 8-0 on Thursday with Knowles providing half of the scoring, slotting the ball home five times in the match.

    Maddie McDole, Kiel: McDole’s hat trick sparked Kiel to a 4-0 win over Howards Grove on Monday.

    Boys golf

    Dylan Bramstedt, Valders: Bramstedt earned medalist honors at the Manitowoc County invite on Friday at Autumn Ridge, carding a 7-0ver, 77. With Bramstedt leading the way, Valders won the team title as well by edging Kiel by six strokes.

    Boys tennis

    Tom Yoshigahara, Plymouth: Yoshigahara defeated Kohler’s Aidan Schueller in three sets on Thursday 7-5, 1-6, 10-4 at No. 3 singles. Kohler won the duel 4-3.

    Ray Peroutka, Manitowoc Lincoln: Peroutka took down New Richmond’s Elijah Gefeke on Saturday at No. 1 singles in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Manitowoc Lincoln fell 5-2 as a team.

    Dylan Grueneberg, Kohler: Grueneberg didn’t drop a game against Ripon’s Brock Stollfuss at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-0 as Kohler swept the duel 7-0.
