TWO RIVERS – A new downtown mural will depict local bird species and highlight Two Rivers’ designation as a Wisconsin Bird City.

Two Rivers Main Street partnered with local artist Jason Prigge and downtown business Seeds N Beans to create the large mural. Prigge designed and will paint the mural.

The mural will be at 1813 Washington St., home of Seeds N Beans, a shop selling bird houses, bird feeders and bird seed.

Prigge plans to complete the 2,400-square-foot mural — the largest he has worked on — over the next few weeks.

Two Rivers Main Street plans to install public art in downtown Two Rivers, with a new piece of art each year. According to a news release, installations could include murals, sculptures or other public art.
