Shoppers rejoice: New Sarasota-Bradenton area Target to officially open this weekend

Bradenton-area Target fans will have a reason to celebrate this weekend.

The newest Target store at 75th Street and Manatee Avenue will host its grand opening Sunday. The 76,000-square-foot facility, which already unofficially opened its doors to shoppers, is part of Target’s nationwide expansion initiative that will include opening 300 more stores in the next decade.

The new Target will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It will hire about 80 employees, and it will include a Starbucks Café and a CVS Pharmacy.

The new location marks the North Port/Sarasota/Bradenton area’s sixth store, per a press release.
