In what's becoming something of a weekly event, the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport added another flight to its growing roster of new flights .

Frontier Airlines announced it will launch a nonstop flight from SRQ to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport this fall. It’s the 15th new flight SRQ has announced this year , bringing the airport’s nonstop flight total to 62.

The service will fly weekly starting Oct. 12, and fares begin at $29 if purchased by 11:59 p.m. Sept. 2, per a press release. Flights can be booked at flyfrontier.com . The flight is Frontier’s third at SRQ, adding to routes to Cleveland and Philadelphia.

The expanded service comes as SRQ continues to grow, with regular year-over-year increases in passengers reported each month and a new five-gate terminal set to open next year. The airport announced a new concession program in the terminal will feature several local restaurants, businesses and coffee shops.

The announcement also follows SRQ’s announcement of a future Pilatus maintenance and service facility on the airport’s campus. The Swiss aircraft manufacturer will construct maintenance and office space that’s expected to be operational by mid-2026.

Tourism is great as long as development is in check. The airport added an entire terminal so no surprise there are new flights/carriers. The new a terminal is ground level also.
