After being forced to cancel recent tour performances, famed Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, who just turned 59, shared the tragic news that led to his decision:

The music legend took to social media on July 22, 2024, mentioning the death of his stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight.

Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, did not reveal the details surrounding the demise of Knight, who was the biological daughter of Slash's longtime girlfriend, Meegan Hodges.

Before the shocking announcement of Knight's passing, Slash had already informed fans about his tour's cancellation.

    Backstory

Slash grew up in Los Angeles and learned to play guitar as a teen. Years later, he did so to much accolade on the Michael Jackson super hit, "Beat It," from the mega-selling Thriller album (released in 1982).

In 1985, Slash joined Guns N’ Roses and earned international acclaim for riffs on songs like "Sweet Child o’ Mine."

Upon his exit from Guns N’ Roses in 1996, Slash did session work and formed other bands, such as Velvet Revolver.

In 2001, Slash suffered heart failure and reformed his life and, seven years later, formally chronicled it all in his 2007 autobiography.
