The Partridge Family was one of the most popular TV shows of the 1970s, alongside The Brady Bunch on ABC's popular Friday night schedule.

The senior stars of The Brady Bunch have all since passed away, including Florence Henderson, Robert Reed, and Ann B. Davis.

Whereas two of the younger stars of The Partridge Family have died before their time. Those include David Cassidy, who became a rock superstar because of the show, and Suzanne Crough, who played the youngest Partridge Family member named Tracy.

It's now been a little over nine years since Crough succumbed to a heart ailment at only 52 years old. She died on April 27, 2015, in Laughlin, Nevada from arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia.

    A Closer Look

Suzanne Crough was born on March 6, 1963, in Fullerton, California, and she died on April 27, 2015 in Laughlin, Nevada.

In 1969, Crough made her TV debut in a commercial for Mattel Kiddles.

One year later, she was cast as Tracy Partridge, on The Partridge Family, where she played the tambourine in the family band, headed by Oscar-winner Shirley Jones. The Partridge Family led to the superstardom of David Cassidy, who was Jones' real-life stepson (from her marriage to actor Jack Cassidy).

For the entire four seasons that Crough appeared on The Partridge Family, she only received $76,800.

David Cassidy died just two years after Crough who, following The Partridge Family's cancellation in 1974, acted only sporadically.

In her adult years, Crough lived a non-Hollywood life, away from the spotlight. She went on to attend Pierce College, a community college in Los Angeles and owned and operated a bookstore until 1993. In 1999, Crough managed a shoe store in Nevada.

In July 1985, Crough wed William Condray, with whom had two daughters: Samantha and Alexandra. The couple planned on celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary the year Crough died.

    Conclusion

Like too many former child stars before and after her, including David Cassidy, Dana Hill, Dana Plato, and Gary Coleman (the latter two from TV's Diff'rent Strokes sitcom), Suzanne Crough died much too young, and long before her time.

However, to countless classic TV fans around the world, she will always be fondly remembered as the adorable tambourine-playing Tracy Partridge.
