    Shortly after filming the movie Nine Months in 1995, the charismatic actor was arrested in Los Angeles for less-than-worthy interaction with a prostitute named Divine Brown. “There were very talented people who made that film and really brilliant actors," he said.

    Hugh Grant opted to deal with the awkward predicament in a forthright manner. Namely, he went on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and apologized. “You know in life what’s a good thing to do and a bad thing to do. I did a bad thing,” he told the talk show host.

    During an appearance on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, Grant said the incident transpired after his preview screening of Nine Months. “The film was about to come out a week or two after that," he explained, "...and I had a bad feeling about it. I went to see a screening. Everyone in it was brilliant, but I was so atrocious that I was not in a good frame of mind."

    At the time of his dubious incident in 1995, Huge Grant was dating actress Elizabeth Hurley, who remained by his side during the controversy (though they eventually parted romantic ways, while retaining a cordial friendship in the present.
