Stanley Livingston Gives Health Update on Former Child Star & 'My Three Sons' Co-Star Dawn Lyn

Former child star Dawn Lyn played Dodie Harper Douglas on the legendary family sitcom My Three Sons (ABC/CBS, 1960-1972), which also starred, among others, Fred MacMurray, and Stanley Livingston, who played her older adopted brother Chip Douglas.

Lynn's health has recently improved following a lengthy physical challenge that has led to mounting medical bills for her family. Lyn, the sister to teen idol Leif Garrett, fell into a coma following surgery for a brain tumor in October 2022.

The Latest From Livingston

According to a recent Facebook report from Stanley Livingston, although Dawn Lynn "hasn't had proper therapy for two weeks while the insurance company and the rehab confusion continues," she was willing to allow Livingston to "assist her with some of the same exercises."

"Her new doctor said he'd approve continued therapy," Livingston continued to explain. "She is eating better, especially when some unauthorized Fritos are stuck in her incredibly boring hospital food."

Lyn has enjoyed phone calls from friends on the East Coast, Livingston added, while "She's also speaking more and enjoyed some visitors from Oregon."

Those visitors were other dear friends who encouraged Lyn and Livingston to playfully perform the theme to Green Acres (another TV classic) in a karaoke bar decades ago.

Either way, Dawn Lyn's health is on the upswing.
