The York County SPCA still needs help after last week's power outage
The York SPCA on Monday provided an update its status following last week's power outage. The facility was forced to place 68 dogs into foster care after storm damage caused the loss of all electricity, knocking out air conditioning in the building. Christopher Van Johnson, 36, of Baltimore, Maryland, received seven consecutive life sentences on July 17, 2024, for his involvement in the murders of three individuals on June 25, 2016, in Mercersburg, Franklin County. BALTIMORE, MD—Hellenic Cables Americas has agreed to build a new factory on 38 acres of land in Wagner’s Point in Baltimore. The company is one of the largest cable producers in Europe. The factory is expected to create 120 jobs when it’s up and running.

The weekend ended with another day back into the 90s, thanks to sunshine. This morning the clouds have returned as an unsettled weather pattern will stall across our region for much of this week.
