Upcoming! July Brings New Opportunities: Target Announces Upcoming Store Openings
WFCN – On July 21, mass retailer Target Corp. will launch three new locations in California, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, expanding its network of over 2,000 stores. Target plans to open a shop in Lomita, California. This will be the company’s 318th outlet in California and its 127th in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim area. The Lomita store, which will employ about 70 people, is about 33,000 square feet and is located at 2130 Pacific Coast Highway. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

Reed, of Mexico, Mo., beat Dayton Pursley in the Arctic Food Equipment USRA main event. After 12 years of retirement, Roy Pearson was ready for something to do. In April, the 74-year-old retired United Methodist Church pastor joined the AARP Foundation's Senior Community Service Employment Program, also known as SCSEP. The program partners seniors 55 and up with local nonprofits and government agencies in paid training assignments. Host agencies gain temporary staff at no cost and seniors have the opportunity to sharpen their soft and hard skills, while earning minimum wage. Participating seniors are paid through the AARP.
