Murfreesboro TN - Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) Chief Michael Bowen announces the retirement of Officer Shondale Clark after nearly four decades of dedicated service. Clark began his career with Murfreesboro Police as a patrol officer in September 1988. Over his 36-year law enforcement career, he served as a Parks officer, Field Training Officer (FTO), and was member of both the interview board, and employee review board.

F&M Bank removes CEO, names new CEO and president
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Seven months after announcing John Peck as its CEO, F&M Bank has removed Peck from the position. The move was confirmed to Clarksville Now on Friday by former Chief Financial Officer DeWayne Olive, who has been named CEO to replace Peck. He did not not say why Peck was removed.

Overton Industrial Board Approves Tax Abatement
The Overton County Industrial Development Board approved a tax abatement Friday for the American Stave Company’s barrel manufacturing facility planned for Rickman. American Stave Attorney Madison Haynes said they are hoping to complete the facility by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Haynes said the company plans to hire eighty-five full-time employees from the local area by the end of 2026.
