Corps of Engineers emphasizing water safety for holiday weekend
The United States Army Corps of Engineers is emphasizing water safety on Lake Cumberland and other area lakes as Labor Day weekend arrives. Officials with the Nashville District say there have been 12 water-related fatalities on lakes in the Nashville District since March, which includes Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake, among other lakes in Kentucky and Tennessee.
