Man motions to withdraw guilty manslaughter plea
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Craig Returns From Scout, 29, wrote to Seventh Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Connolly asking to withdraw his guilty plea for first-degree manslaughter. Returns From Scout was charged with kicking and stomping a man to death in Rapid City last September. He originally pleaded not guilty but changed his plea on June 26. He says he had adverse reactions to medication and didn’t feel he could handle a trial under those conditions.
