Mitchell Second Chance High School earns special kudos from Culver’s
On July 18th, Culver’s celebrated its 40th anniversary as a company with its Mitchell store marking its 23rd year in town. As part of the celebration, Jen Bradley said each store was encouraged to make a donation to a special cause of their choice. Mitchell’s Culver’s chose Second Chance High School.

Madison High School Gives Update on New Cell Phone Policy
Students in Madison will be heading back to school one week from today. The Madison Central School Board held their final regular meeting before the start of the school year on Monday, and reviewed changes to the school handbooks. Jefferson Rotary to Have Kick-Off 2024 Auction and Banquet Fundraiser With Early Auction Item
The Jefferson Rotary Club is offering an early auction item ahead of its normal fundraiser in November. According to the Rotary Club, the pre-sale auction item is four tickets to see comedian Jim Gaffigan live on September 14th for his “Barely Alive” tour. The tickets are in the 17th row of the center floor seating at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The auction item also includes two hotel rooms at the nearby Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa.
