Rays place All-Star first baseman on restricted list
The Rays announced that first baseman Yandy Diaz had been placed on the restricted list, and infielder Curtis Mead was called up from Triple-A to take Diaz’s spot on the active roster. A new, state-of-the-art Veterans Affairs clinic has opened in south Lakeland, and patients and staff say it’s a big improvement.
