Man, 20, injured in Rockville stabbing
Local police are investigating a stabbing Friday evening in Rockville that injured a 20-year-old man, according to police radio transmissions. Around 3:57 p.m. a woman called 911 to report that her son had been stabbed, according to the transmissions. The dispatcher told police that the caller was “hysterical” and was in touch with her son through FaceTime, but she was not at the scene.
Assault at Rockville liquor store
Rockville City police responded to a report of a 2nd-degree assault at a liquor store in the Rockville Town Center area late Wednesday morning, August 14, 2024. The assault was reported at a store in the 300 block of N. Washington Street at 11:25 AM. It was identified as the Montgomery County-operated liquor store.
A New Rockville Taco Shop Helps Curb Student Lunch Debt
A new taco shop in Rockville Town Center is celebrating a lot of firsts, including a new kid’s meal option to help pay off Montgomery County students’ lunch debts. Little Miner Taco partnered with the Montgomery County Public Schools’ foundation Dine With Dignity to raise money for school meals as families wait for approval to receive free meals through the Free and Reduced-Priced Meals system. Little Miner Taco will donate all proceeds from each kid’s meal to the fund at the new location. The kid’s meals are only $3 and include either a cheese (or chicken) quesadilla and chicken with rice.
