A growing trend not just in larger parts of the Midwest, but the entire United States has the FBI warning parents about online privacy. It seems like kids know way more about the internet than we do. Sadly with that knowledge comes confidence. Kids may feel safe online thinking they know it well. This can lead to them accidentally releasing information about themselves. This information leak can then result in doxxing, or even worse... swatting.

Civil War camp and reenactment planned

GENEVIEVE – The local Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp #326 will hold a Civil War demonstration camp on Saturday, August 24th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held on the grounds of the Felix Valle House State Historic Site located at 198 Merchant St. The camp will have displays of Civil War era items, a list of Ste. Genevieve citizens who served in the war, and a demonstration camp site typical during the war.
