A Fallen Hero is Coming Home
DE GREY, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Robert A. Bartlett, a Corporal in the US Army, was killed in a tank battle shortly after D-Day June 6, 1944. His body was badly burned, and his dog tags were nowhere to be found. So, his unidentified remains were buried in Normandy cemetery. However, in May his remains were identified via DNA and so Corporal Bartlett was disinterred and transferred home to South Dakota.

It is time for the Days of ’76 Rodeo from Deadwood, South Dakota! Athletes descend on The Mount Rushmore State to compete for their share of over $300,000. A year ago winners of the rodeo took home between $$4,500 and $10,000 to add to their season earnings.
