More schools to consider banning cell phone use during school hours?
YANKTON, SD (KELO.com) — At least one South Dakota school – Gettysburg – is banning the use of cell phones during the school day, and more may be on the way. School Superintendents were encouraged by state education Secretary Joe Graves to discuss the issue with staff at their recent state conference. Rapid City Rollover: Teen Driver Accused of DUI and More
RAPID CITY, S.D. - At approximately 2:30 a.m. on July 25, police responded to a vehicle rollover at the 3400 block of Skyline Drive. They found a white passenger vehicle overturned and multiple injured individuals around the scene. An unconscious male was discovered near the vehicle and was given emergency first aid until a medical unit arrived to transport him to the hospital.
Winner man sentenced for rape charge involving developmentally delayed victim
PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A 38-year-old man from Winner will serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a person incapable of giving consent. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced Thursday that Lionel Lee Eagle Hawk has been sentenced to 25 years in prison with 10 years suspended for the charge of Third-Degree Rape.
