Two Hershey natives to compete on Team USA Women’s Field Hockey team in 2024 Paris Olympic Games

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two Hershey natives are heading to Paris to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Maddie Zimmer and Jenny Rizzo were selected to compete on the Team USA Women’s Field Hockey Team last month. Zimmer, a Northwestern University grad, will join Rizzo, a Penn State alum, in representing the United States in the 2024 Olympics.

A Facebook post from Kendra Roy Daub shows Zimmer and Rizzo sporting shirts depicting Daub’s cat adoption canter, Cocoa Kitties. The post says Zimmer and Rizzo are huge cat lovers who have adopted from Cocoa Kitties, and another owner named their cats after them.

The United States’ first match will be against Argentina in a group-stage game on July 27 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
