    Binghamton man killed after being struck by car in Hershey

    HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM)– A man died early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Dauphin County, according to the Derry Township Police Department.

    The victim, 54-year-old Randy Ticknor of Binghamton, New York, was fatally struck by a Dodge Caravan on Hersheypark Drive, according to police.

    Derry Township Police Department says nearby officers and medical personnel responded to the scene around 12:45 a.m. this morning and attempted to provide life-saving measures for the victim.

    The pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have identified a 29-year-old Fredericksburg man as the driver of the Dodge.

    Police said surrounding roadways were closed following the incident, but they have since been reopened.

    The Derry Township Police, assisted by the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office, launched an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances involved in the crash.
