The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…. A cold front is sparking a line of showers and storms across northern WI in portions of Door, Marinette and Oconto counties and the activity is fading across Menominee county MI. Main impacts from this will be locally heavy rain that could deliver a quick half inch of rain as well as lightning, but no severe weather is to be expected.

We saw some familiar faces, and some new ones when we met the new River Falls Ambassadors. River Falls had a huge turnout for their parade, so we were able to see a lot from the town of River Falls with our float Leif.

Mankato motorcyclist hurt in Friday evening crash
MANKATO, Minn. – A motorcyclist crashed in southern Minnesota on Friday evening. The Minnesota State Patrol says Shawn Lee Ward, 39 of Mankato, was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson FXDF Cruiser north on Highway 169. The State Patrol says Ward tried to take the onramp to eastbound Highway 14 around 8:07 pm and lost control of his bike.

COLBY, Wis. (WSAW) - Colby Cheese Days is back, and there will be many events throughout the weekend that you and your family can participate in. Friday is the start of a long day of events. It starts with a book and movie sale. You can shop starting at 7 a.m. at the Colby Lions Shelter, that will be open until 5 p.m. The food stand will open at 5 p.m. That way you can enjoy some grub before the carnival opens at 6 p.m. You can play bingo starting at 6 p.m. If bingo isn’t your forte, you can also watch the ATV Garden Tractor & UTV pulls at the same time. Players will also hit balls out of the park at the softball tournament starting at 6:30 p.m. You can end the night with live music starting at 9 p.m. The Dweebs will be playing until 1 a.m.

As expected, scattered storms dropped into northern Wisconsin from Upper Michigan earlier Saturday afternoon. No severe weather is expected but there could be some locally heavy rainfall and small hail. Storms should begin to fade after sunset. Lows tonight could be as cool as the mid 50s in the Northwoods, but low/mid 60s are expected farther south. Sunday begins dry, but more spotty afternoon storms could develop. The best chance of a storm on Sunday looks to be west and southwest of Green Bay during the afternoon & evening. Highs should be near 80 degrees.
