Working together over the past 40 years, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $180 million for local children’s hospitals through Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the company said.

“By joining us on Miracle Treat Day, the Hesperia community can help offer support and hope to children by simply purchasing a Blizzard Treat,” said December Herrera, owner of the Hesperia Dairy Queen. “We appreciate our community and partnership, and are honored to help make a visit to our DQ location extra special in support of a meaningful cause.”

What is your favorite Blizzard flavor?

Dairy Queen's Blizzards are made with thick, soft serve and a variety of customizable mix-ins.

The popular Delish website stated that people in various areas of the country tend to prefer certain Blizzard flavors.

The Northwest tends to love Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzards, while the Southeast can't resist a Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard, which is a favorite in nine other states, making it the most popular flavor in the U.S.

You're most likely to catch residents of Florida enjoying the tasty Royal New York Cheesecake Blizzard. Speaking of New York, people in that state love the Oreo Cookie flavor.

The Oreo Blizzard is also a favorite in California, Alaska, North Dakota, Louisiana, and many other states.

Herrera told the Daily Press that after a Blizzard is prepared, employees will show customers how thick the dessert is by quickly flipping the cup upside down.
