Hays USD 489 BOE hears summer construction update
The Hays USD 489 superintendent updated the school board on district construction projects at the board's meeting on Monday. Work is progressing on the bond projects at Roosevelt Elementary School and Hays High School, Superintendent Ron Wilson said. Russell crews work to restore power after storm
From the City of Russell... Our system experienced a fault impacting customers from N. Lincoln to N. Fossil and East 8th Street to Wichita Avenue. Crews are enroute. To replace three power poles broken during last night's severe wind, crews will need to cut power that will impact customers from Luray Street south, including rural customers. SFD responds to grass fire at Centennial Road/Cloud Street in Salina
Multiple Salina Fire Department crews responded to a grass fire at approximately 5:15 p.m. Monday. The flames were quickly extinguished. The direct cause of the fire is unknown. City of Lawrence mulls allowing alcohol to be consumed on the go downtown
Patrons could soon be allowed to drink alcoholic beverages as they roam certain areas of downtown Lawrence. With KU football games slated for Kansas City for at least the upcoming season while Memorial Stadium undergoes major renovations, “the City Commission asked staff to work with stakeholders to look into a Common Consumption Area (CCA) for Downtown Lawrence,” according to the meeting agenda.
KU Athletics Unveil Phase Two of Allen Fieldhouse Renovations
The University of Kansas announced that construction has begun for phase two of renovations for Allen Fieldhouse ahead of the its 70th season.
