Glendale to host Beyond Plastic Vendor Fair this month

The Beyond Plastic Vendor Fair later this month in Glendale will showcase reusable, compostable and recyclable materials and connect attendees with suppliers of eco-friendly products.

The event takes place Aug. 24 behind Glendale City Hall at Perkins Plaza, 141 N. Glendale Ave.

Eventgoers will discover a variety of sustainable products designed to help businesses comply with proposed plastic waste reduction regulations.

Vendors will be there with products that event attendees can “test, feel and try out,” according to a city statement. The fair enables the local business community to “engage with staff to learn more about the proposed ordinance and provide your feedback.”

The City is developing plastic waste reduction regulations, and officials want feedback from businesses. An online survey is at GlendaleCA.gov/PlasticsSurvey.
